Helping out around school-merit

At school today i was playing football at morning tea then i saw one year 4 on the ground being
hit by another year 4 and the other people around them were leting him hit him so i came over told
one to go away and then i told the other one to get up and then  I took him and the other kid to the teacher to sort it out.

Today at kapahaka we started by sing the school song then we moved on to the Maori version of hallelujah to practice the timing of when we step to the front and when we actually started to sing
then we had another go at the school song witch we needed to practice when we start walking through the girl and things like that.

KAPAHAKA-LEADERSHIP

Today I went to kapahaka and it was the first week of going to kapahaka. We had to sit in two different groups at the start they were the performance group and the practice group I went in the performance group. Then we got into our lines for when we preform and when we practice then we practiced the school song for the rest of the time.

Today we had a meeting for the leaders at  the school at morning tea. We started off by
looking at a book by GRIP LEADERSHIP, we had to read the first chapter ('No one likes a goody two shoes) It was about how to balance being a leader and being a fun friend. Then we discussed
the chapter after that we went on to our plans for things in the future that we are going to do soon.

This week for kapahaka it was shorter than normal because I had  to go to the Library. We started with the school song and then we talked about somethings in kapahaka like cultural festival and other things. Then we had a go at two other songs that we hadn't done this year and then we did the school song to finish.

This week for kapahaka we started with the school song and our run through of what we are doing for cultural festival this year. When we were doing a few of the songs one of the kids two rows in front of  me was being really silly and annoying so our teacher told me to stand be hind him and make sure he wasn't being silly so I was doing that most of the so i was very glad when we got released.

This week for kapahaka we started with singing some of our songs that we are trying to decide which ones we use for the cultural festival this year. Then we practiced some of the song actions that we weren't very good at then we started to do some other songs and then we talked more about cultural festival.

Today the Year 8's went down to the where the Year 0/1's are to play a game that we decided to play with them so they can learn them to play in the playground at lunch and morning tea. My game that I decided to play octopus with my partner jonothan.

at how many blog post we have done this year. After that we went away and started to write our speech for
whole school Assembly this afternoon.

Leadership Food forest /Role model to the Kakano kids

Yesterday the year 7/8 were in the food forest with Mr McAven and the year 4's we collected the seeds of the plants in the food forest. After that we started to chop n' drop the plants and then we put them in a trailer and then they were taken away. In the afternoon I was in the new entrant class and we helped them with their letters and then we all went out side and I tought some of them how to skip with a skipping rope. Today I was in the new entrant class again and I helped them learn how to play snakes and ladders and then helped them with the outside games on ground.

Leadership-Technology and on the bus

Today the Y 7/8 went to technology at Lincoln Primary School. On the bus I sat next to one of my friends and we talked to each other the whole way to Lincoln, when we got there I went to my class (Hard materials),I'm making a clock. My clock is going to be pine wood with legs coming out of the bottom of the clock,whilst I was there I sanded the WHOLE!!!! time. On the way back to school I sat at the back of the bus.I spent my time talking to one of my friends.

The learner Quality I showed was being a role model because I was only talking to the person next to me and not looking back to talk to others.

Leadership- Jelly park

On Friday the 18 of February the kauri team went to Jelly Park for Swimming fun day/races. I started by doing a speech to introduce the Swimming fun day at the start, I helped with getting people in there lanes for the width races. I  helped with the House games in the middle of the length and width races. I came 3rd and 5th in my races and in the relays we came 4th.

The learner quality that i showed was being a good role model by helping with all of the games.
